Male Glider Penis Always Popped out

as stated above,
my male SG, Ryuu's penis always popped out.
sometimes it happen for about 30mins. sometimes it happens for the whole night.
is this a disease?

or is it because of my female SG? beacause i put them in separate cages side to side.
1 female in 1 cage (Mika) & 2 male in 1 cage (Ryuu & Stitch)

i don't hv male suggie now.. canot tell...

Male sugar glider penis tends to "come out" or "hang" as a sign of maturity.
They tend to mature faster then the females.
Some males may start as early as 3 months old.
So there's nothing to worry about.
My Timon who is neutered does not display this "action" so if you do not intend to mate better get them neutered.
Plus he does not "stink" as much as the rest of my boys.

SUGGESTION: If you separate the gliders (male & female), put them at separate places too.. Don't let the male see the female.. this should solve the problem.. Just imagine you in 1 cage and there's a 'hot chick' in the cage next to you.. it would drive you crazy right?!! (if you can't have her.. haha!)
